This year, Drew and I bought our first Christmas tree and we've decorated it with ornaments we made ourselves or ones purchased from handmade artists. We've also committed to gifting from small shops, rather than buying from large corporations this year.

I purchased a custom "Christmas 2025" ornament from Naomi, the owner of Floral and Stitch. The shop is Canadian, based in Calgary, Alberta!
She created the cutest caricatures of myself, Drew and our cat Monkey, into an ornament that we will cherish.

Aviologie is based out of Vancouver Island. The owners/designers partner with hand-carvers in Indonesia to create Fair-trade based bird statues and ornaments. The birds are hand-carved from Albesia and Coffee wood

The glass artist, Sarrah, is based out of Quebec. Drew really likes Penguins, and the idea that penguins give their forever penguin a pebble. We bought a glass penguin pebble ornament for our tree from StationPoleNord.

Chaiv sells Paper SVG patterns for fall and Christmas decor. I've used some of their patterns to DIY some unique display pieces for my workplace. The shop is based in Toronto.

I bought this PDF pattern with the idea of creating ornaments for my tree that my cat can't break if she tips the tree. The pattern was super easy to use, with clear instructions. I used colours that match my tree decor, and different embellishments than what the pattern described.

I've had a dollar store stocking since I was a kid. It somehow got lost last year when we packed up all the Christmas decor, which is actually a great opportunity for me to create my own. I purchased a pattern from StitchSisterCo. I've picked black and different shades of purple for my own stocking!
